I AGREE!

I totally agree with Udunnome. (Please see her last comment) I've seen several ghosts and all my sightings have taken place in the daylight. While it is true that paranormal activity can sometimes be more prevalent after it gets dark, this is only because life tends to slow down after dark, so people seem to be more quiet and susceptible to hearing nosies that are normally disregarded during a busy day.
Most people think of a ghost as a filmy mass that floats around a room. Although some ghosts have been photographed to look this way, the ghosts I've seen look as the did when they were alive, and not as milky ectoplasm. So, it doesn't matter what time of the day it is, if they are present, they can be seen.
Another reason that people associate the dark with ghosts is that many people are afraid of both, so they naturally assume that all "scary" things happen in the dark. Hogwash! That is another Hollywood created scare tactic. The more one studies the paranormal, the less frightening it becomes.
And again, Udunnome is correct that these television shows do not depict a true paranormal investigation. No one who is afraid of ghosts should be investigating them. A true professional knows enough about afterlife activity to understand it and not does not fear it, but is fascinated by it. "The only thing you have to fear, if fear itself!" Overcome the fear, and anything is possible.
